Harville Hendrix and Helen Lakelly Hunt

Harville Hendrix, Ph.D and Helen LaKelly Hunt, Ph.D are partners in life and work. They are co-creators of Imago Relationship Theory & Therapy, co-founders of Imago International Training Institute and Quantum Connections. Imago Relationship Therapy is a couples therapy practiced in 62 countries by over 2500 therapists. Safe Conversations®, distributed and taught by Quantum Connections, is a social movement and relational intervention based on the latest relational sciences to facilitate the creation of a relational civilization. A relational society will be realized by distributing Safe Conversations, globally—to 2.4 billion people (the tipping point of world population in 2050) over the next 30 years.

Before becoming a social activist, Harville practiced couples therapy for more than 40 years and with Helen, continues to work with couples in groups. He is an educator, clinical trainer, and lecturer who appeared on Oprah 17 times. Formerly, a professor at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, he is now co-chancellor and Distinguished Professor at Daybreak University.

In addition to Helen’s partnership with Harville in the co-creation and distribution of Imago Relationship Therapy and the Safe Conversations social movement, she has been inducted into the Women’s Hall of Fame for her contribution to the global women’s movement. Helen was also inducted in the Smithsonian Institute for creating Women Moving Millions and her leadership in creative women’s philanthropy. Helen is co-chancellor and Distinguished Professor at Daybreak University.

Harville and Helen are co-authors of three New York Times best sellers (Getting the Love You Want_-30th anniversary, 4 million copies;, _Keeping the Love You Find, and Giving the Love that Heals), Receiving Love, Making Marriage Simple, How to Talk to with Anyone About Anything and six other books on relationships. Helen is sole author of Faith and Feminism, And the Spirit Moved Them, and Sister Wisdom.

Helen and Harville have been married for 40 years, have six children, eight grandchildren and live in Dallas, Texas.
